MKS Finance SA - Geneva Friday, 25-August-2006 Gold weakened slightly on access as some small selling emerged. Tocomopened with a soft tone as further selling pushed the spot to the low of$619.25 in the first minutes of trade. Physical traders from overseas gotattracted by the lower price levels and helped the metal to recover. Duringthe second part of the Asian session the yellow metal extended its gains asUSD/JPY became stronger.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Thursday, 24-August-2006 Gold drifted lower from the NY close last night and remained boundedby a narrow three dollar range with only around 50,000 lots turnover onTocom. The metal continued its way on the downside during the first part ofthe Asian session to hit $621.20 per ounce where physical buying emerged.Once the spot rebounded above the 100 day moving average of $622, buyingaccelerated to push the prices up to $623.75 and closed there.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Tuesday, 22-August-2006 Gold once again traded higher on access prior to Tocom opening ataround $628 levels, which is a couple of dollars above the closing price oflast night. In the first minutes of trade spot was pushed to the high of$628.50, but was subsequently sold down to $626.50, which is disappointingif we consider the firming oil prices.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Monday, 21-August-2006Gold traded four dollars higher on access after the market closedFriday at $612. The metal was however sold back down prior to Tocomopening. The Asian session started on a weak tone with the prices hittingthe low of $614.40, but shortly after market participants started to covertheir short positions, which gradually propelled the yellow metal up to$620 resistance level. In Europe after a slight retreat gold broke abovethe resistance and fixed at $621.50 on the AM London, up 6.75 dollars fromthe previous one.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Thursday, 17-August-2006 Gold was stagnant in Asia today, hovering within a two dollar range.Tocom traded a tiny 41 tons on June 2007 active contract, the smallestvolume in several months. The Far East session opened with some buying fromthe general public, but the selling interest from the overseas tradersaround the $630 per ounce did not allow the metal to break that level. InEurope the dull trading persisted.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Wednesday, 16-August-2006Gold opened slightly higher on Tocom, but was once again tradedwithin a very narrow range among a tiny volume of 57 tons in the activecontract. The metal experienced a decent bargain-hunt buying from thegeneral public on the opening, which pushed the prices to the high of$626.50 from where buyers turned into sellers and spot dropped to $624.3.Some short covering into the close of the Asian session allowed the yellowmetal to recover nearly all of the losses.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Tuesday, 15-August-2006 Gold was stagnant in Asia today moving within only a 3 dollar range.After the NY close Monday the metal slipped to open nearly three dollarslower on Tocom and to trade down to $626.30. The prices had very littleaction throughout the Far East session as the traders remained sidelinedahead of the US economic data due later in the day. In London the yellowmetal opened one dollar above the overnight low and that level marked thehigh of the European trading.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Thursday, 10-August-2006 Gold opened slightly weaker on Tocom compared to the Comex closingprice last nigh and was straight away sold to the low of $648.30. Japanesetraders and funds had reversed their positions into the close, whichbrought the spot back above the 650 dollar mark. In early European hoursthe yellow metal extended the Far East high to $653.75 on the news of thethwarted terror attack in the UK involving airplanes headed to the US, butthe shine was lost shortly after and the metal fixed just above the $650support on the first London fix.
