MKS Finance SA - Geneva Friday, 15-September-2006 Selling on access pushed gold more than five dollars below the NYclosing price of $579.75. The yellow metal opened at limit down due to longliquidation by general public and local brokers while $574 level was tradedin cash. The prices hit the low of $573.50 where dip buying from overseastraders and physical interest emerged.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Thursday, 14-September-2006Gold opened slightly above NY closing yesterday, but drifted lower inthe absence of follow-through buying. The prices were pushed down to$587.50 where overseas and physical buying interest emerged. The metalhowever failed to challenge the 200-day moving average of $594, beinglimited to $592.30 where buyers turned into sellers and the precious metalsettled around $590 level. In Europe gold drifted higher to fix at $593.40on the first London fixing, up nearly 12 dollars from the previous one.

The metal was sold down to $580levels after the opening of Tocom as general public was liquidation theirlongs and taking on new short positions. During the PM session the pricesdrifted higher with buying interest emerging on the lows. Spot hit $586.50per ounce, but could not sustain the gains for long.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Monday, 11-September-2006Gold opened nearly six dollars below the Friday’s NY closing price of$610.50 on Tocom. Subsequently a combination of stop loss liquidation fromthe Japanese traders, chart based selling and softer crude oil sent theprecious metal sharply lower. Further oil weakening was prompted by thepress report on Sunday, which stated that Iran has told a senior Europeannegotiator that the country is ready to consider complying with theSecurity Council demand to halt uranium enrichment, at least temporary.

La producción anual de oro australiana baja un 5%

OroyFinanzas Madrid, 3 de septiembre, 2006 Australia, tercer productor mundial de oro, redujo en un 5% su producción, según un estudio que ha realizado sobre la industria aurífera australiana la consultora de Melbourne, Surbiton Associates. La producción de oro en el 2005/2006 fue de 251toneladas, 15 toneladas menos que el mismo periodo en 2004/2005.
