MKS Finance SA - Geneva Wednesday, 31-January-2007Gold drifted higher during the electronic trading to open on Tocomover two dollars firmer and subsequently hit the high of $647.50. Generalpublic was once again a small seller, pushing the prices down to the $645support level.

Tocom opening levels marked the high for the Asian session asselling emerged and eventually dragged spot down to $646 levels by the endof the Far East session.

The trading range however once againremained narrow with good two way interest around $645 levels. Strongselling in euro and crude, which retreated below the $55 per barrel, addedto the downside pressure.

Hong Kong traders pushed the yellow metal down to $634.70 levelsstraight after Tocom opening, but in the absence of any follow through theprices rebounded. Once again there was some fund buying which was absorbedby general public selling.
