MKS Finance SA - Geneva Monday, 30-April-2007 There was very little interest in gold overnight as Japanese were outdue to the Golden week. The yellow metal opened above $680 on theelectronic trading, but got capped around $681.50 per ounce by profittaking.

MKS Finance SA - Geneva Tuesday, 24-April-2007Tocom opened with the selling pressure, which eventually took golddown to $685.80. Physical bids then started to appear around the lows,allowing the yellow metal to recover half of the Asian session’s losses. InEurope we clearly saw an uptrend throughout the whole morning with theprices gradually gaining ground and hitting the high of $691.90 about anhour before the opening of the Comex division of the New York MercantileExchange.

During the European hours everybody seemed to have forgottenthe ten dollar drop of yesterday, with fresh options-related buying by a USbank propelling the yellow metal higher.

Duringour time zone the resistance of $690 to $691 was challenged several times,but every time the yellow metal failed to breach it due to profit taking atthese levels.
